As an ex-pro swimmer I know how hard it can be to motivate yourself to workout. Sometimes all you want to do is lie on the couch. For other people the issue could be that you are consistently working out but aren’t seeing the results that you want. For everyone who isn’t seeing the fitness results that they want, these tips are for you: You’re doing the same workout routine every time Don’t get me wrong, finding a workout activity that you love, such as yoga (my personal favorite), kickboxing or spin, is amazing. It gives you a reason to get to the gym. But if your favorite activity the only exercise that you’re doing time and time again then your body will get very good at these particular movements and eventually you won’t continue to see your desired results anymore. In order to stop this from happening try something new! You never know, you just might like it more! You aren’t challenging yourself Many studies are showing that the intensity of a workout is a more important factor when it comes to weight loss than the duration of it. Yeah, if you run on the treadmill for an hour that’s great. But it wouldn’t be as great as a HIIT session. You’re overeating One of the biggest parts of losing weight is watching your caloric intake. Exercising and keeping yourself at a caloric deficit are the two most important factors that come into play when trying to lose weight.
